The AeroPress was invented in 2005 by Aerobie president Alan Adler. Medium ground coffee is steeped for approximately 30 seconds (depending on grind and your preferred strength) and then forced through a fine filter by pressing the plunger through the tube. The filters used are either the AeroPress paper filters or disc shaped thin metal filters. The result is a very clean tasting coffee with exquisite flavours. Single origin coffees are a must through this device. The AeroPress is arguably one of the best and affordable coffee makers on the market.
